The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend to host the promotion’s next big fight card. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion will be offering Orlando fight fans UFC on FOX 28 inside the Amway Center.

The event will take place Saturday night, Feb 24, and is set to feature a fight card full of exciting match ups. In the night’s main event, Jeremy Stephens will be going toe-to-toe with Team Alpha Male warrior Josh Emmett.

With the exciting night of fights now closing in, the UFC has already hosted the weigh-ins for UFC on FOX 28. All fighters managed to make weight, except for UFC bantamweight Alex Perez.

Perez first came in heavy at 126.5 pounds. However, the fighter was offered an hour to lose the extra weight.

Returning 40 minutes later, Perez hit the scales once more. But, the fighter was actually five pounds heavier this time around, weighing in a total 127 pounds.

Perez was offered his final 20 minutes to lose the weight, but chose to accept his fate instead. Perez will be fined 20 percent of his fight purse, which will go to his opponent.

The fighter will face off against Eric Shelton come fight night.
