The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Austin, Texas over the weekend. On Sunday night, Feb. 18, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion took to the Frank Erwin Center to host UFC Fight Night 126.
During the event, UFC welterweight Thiago Alves went toe-to-toe with Curtis Millender. The two fighters put on a war inside the octagon for the Austin crowd, with Millender ultimately earning a knockout victory over his opponent in the second round thanks to a well placed knee.
Now former UFC competitor Bubba McDaniel has come forward with a rather controversial statement concerning the fight. Taking to social media, McDaniel made a racially insensitive comment concerning Curtis Millender.
Over Twitter, McDaniel stated:
“I was just told that @ThiagoAlvesATT couldn’t see that knee coming anyway because of how dark it was!! Hahaha!! @ufc @danawhite #UFCAustin”
