An Unhappy WSOF Champ Just Pawned His Championship Belt In Las Vegas

It would appear that one of the champion’s for mixed martial arts promotion World Series of Fighting (WSOF) decided to toss their hard earned belt at a nearby pawn shop. Now the belt has been discovered.

The WSOF has not been greatly active as of late. The MMA promotion only hosted ten events in the year of 2016, with only a single event having taken place in 2017.

The promotion is now getting ready to re-brand, as the WSOF will soon be titled the Professional Fighters League (PFL) instead. With that in mind, one of the few welterweight titles from the promotion was just picked up out of a pawn shop.

As reported by Middle Easy, the welterweight belt was recently discovered and purchased at a pawn shop in Las Vegas, Nev. by a fan.

The MMA promotion has only hosted three champions within the division over the years. Consequently the belt must belong to either Steve Carl, Rousimar Palhares or Jon Fitch.
