Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has put on a storied career within the sport of mixed martial arts. However, the fighter’s time within the octagon has not gone without its controversy. Now the fighter is being outed for a possible connection to a massive illegal steroid ring.
Lesnar made a big return to the octagon back at UFC 200, taking on Mark Hunt in an octagon war. However, the fight’s result would ultimately be overturned and Lesnar would be dealt a year long suspension from competition.
Brock Lesnar failed his drug test for UFC 210, causing the lengthy suspension and result overturn. Since then, Lesnar has returned to professional wrestling as a WWE superstar. Still, it would appear that this is potentially not the end of Lesnar’s performance enhancing drug allegations.
Former Wellness Fitness Nutrition CEO Richard Rodriguez has come forward with a statement concerning the former UFC heavyweight champion. Richard Rodriguez has been under investigation for a massive multi-million dollar illegal steroid smuggling ring as of late.
Rodriguez is currently in prison after being arrested by the DEA. The former CEO’s company was raided by the the US Drug Enforcement Administration early last year, leading to Rodriguez’s arrest for connection to the operation of an international steroid distribution ring.
Rodriguez is being accused of the alleged illegal selling of steroids to many notable athletes and celebrities. Among them, the former company CEO allegedly did substantial business with many WWE notables and one former UFC heavyweight champion in particular.
Speaking to reporter Jon Bravo, Richard Rodriguez revealed that Brock Lesnar was a client of his products for some time.
“My initial exposure with WWE wrestlers both active and inactive was when I was formerly introduced to Mark and Chris Bell by Stan Efferding.” Rodriguez stated, explaining that such notable weight lifters and industry insiders offered him countless connections to the WWE world.
Rodriguez then outed Brock Lesnar by name as a former client. Speaking on the success of his business, Rodriguez revealed that what started as smaller dealings quickly evolved into an empire.
“What is crazy is that within the short period of one year of working with them in what had initially just involved videos and online endorsements by them had blew up into hundreds of thousands of dollars in orders.” The former CEO stated.
The case of the massive steroid ring allegedly involving Richard Rodriguez and numerous celebrities is still under investigation.
