Mixed martial arts veteran Mirko Cro Cop received some hefty criticism from Roy Nelson as of late. Now the heavyweight warrior has fired back with a heated response.
Cro Cop recently landed a fight contract with Bellator MMA, with the fighter now set to face off against fellow former UFC competitor Roy Nelson at Bellator 200. With Cro Cop having never served his USADA ban, the decision left some fight fans critical.
During his tenure with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Cro Cop failed a drug test that ultimately led to a two year ban for the heavyweight. Retroactive to Nov. 9, 2015, more than two years have passed since the sentence.
That being said, Cro Cop never served two years without fighting. Rather, the fighter was dropped from his UFC contract and the fighter began competing under the Rizin promotion shortly after.
Speaking to MMA Junkie, Roy Nelson offered some criticism seemingly shedding light on the fighter’s alleged use of performance enhancing drugs.
“Cro Cop was actually a surprise. I was supposed to fight ‘Rampage,’ but he didn’t want to fight so they went out and got Cro Cop. I’m all about rematches. I’ve been trying to get them through my fighting career, but I’m all about it. It’s the one thing I always wish I had, so I want to give someone else a chance.”
“I think Cro Cop’s definitely always improving with age, but I think he’s back on the special supplements, better supplements than usual. Throughout my whole fight career, the only reason people want to fight me or have a chance to beat me, is if they get something. It’s something I just know that everybody is just on it. It’s one of those things where it’s an uphill battle. If you can help prevent it, cool. But at the end of the day I just go out there and fight whoever they want me to fight.”
Now Mirko Cro Cop has come forward with a heated response to the fighter.
“Dear Roy Nelson,you dont have to worry that i’m using any ‘special supplements’ as you claim.the only ‘special supplements’ i’m using is 2 hard and bloody trainings per day,five days a week.and i will be tested,like all others, during preparations for the fight and before and right after the fight.
“so you can be calm.and start thinking of some good excuse after i beat up your fat disrespectful ass,you have enough time to may 25.and do me a favour please,and shave that disgusting beard, look like professional fighter and show respect to your opponent.good luck!”
