Mixed martial arts legend and heavyweight phenom Fedor Emelianenko has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. Through his illustrious career, Emelianenko has gained a superstar status in his home country of Russia.
The fighter has even managed to form a relationship with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Speaking in a recent Russian interview, Putin offered his thoughts on the individual.
When asked about the possibility of evil existing in Russia, Emelianenko responded (translated):
“Evil is in life as such. In Russia life is no worse than in other places. And in many respects it is better. But on the Internet you can download child cartoons – and you can watch pornography. You can download the lives of saints – and you can dive into the headlines of the yellow press. Who put what breasts to himself, who pumps his own lips … We need to teach children to live in the world of information, to select the right, useful, correct for themselves. Of course, to explain by example – what is good, what is bad. And to guide the children in the direction of good.
When asked about the future of the country, Emelianenko offered his thoughts.
“In fact, everything that will happen is known only to the Lord God. Much has become confused today. Many of our traditional values ??they are trying to replace, undermine – with the words “democracy”, “tolerance” and so on. But we can not be tolerant to evil. We should not be equally receptive to good – and to the various false information that is poured on us, poured. To various perversions. It is necessary that our children are still brought up on the concepts of good and evil, good and bad. In every possible way directed to good.
“Even if they round us up, even if it becomes much worse than now, even if the whole world will place sanctions on us – if we have faith, one God, love of the Motherland, if we support our leader, then we will pass any adversity and tests.”
When asked about Putin, Emelianenko did not hold back.
“President of Russian Federation. A man worthy of respect. A person to whom I have confidence. A man who does not talk like others. As he has a rod, as he has principles, as he has a faith, -from these pillars you can not bring him down.”
“For me, as a believer, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is an instrument in the hands of God. Like the people who surround him. Like all those who are fighting for the prosperity of Russia under his leadership. Someone does not work, someone sags, someone exchanges their values, and someone just betrays. But the president remains president. An unbending man who – through trial and error – successfully does the work that he started.”
