Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is finally set to take to the octagon once again. Check out the UFC results from the former title holder’s latest octagon performance down below.
Frankie Edgar was initially set to face off against UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway at UFC 218. However, the fighter was forced to pull out of the title fight after suffering an injury.
The two mixed martial arts warriors were locked in for a rescheduled match up at tonight’s UFC 222. However, Holloway was forced to pull out of the event after suffering an injury of his own.
Consequently, Edgar is now facing off against Brian Ortega in the co-main event of UFC 222. The exciting night of fights is going down tonight, March 3, inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
The night’s co-main event kicked off at a swift pace. Ortega looked to apply the pressure on his opponent, but the former champion refused to back down.
Ortega rocked Edgar late in the round, knocking the fighter out for a stunning finish.
