Mixed martial arts pioneer Gina Carano has put on a storied career within the sport. The fighter only faced a single loss in her career, suffering a first round TKO loss to now reigning women’s UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg.
Now Carano finds other ways to spend her time. An accomplished model and actress, Carano often dabbles in multiple projects. Most recently, Carano landed a role in an upcoming film.
As reported by Variety, Carano will be starring in Daughter of the Wolf alongside Richard Dreyfuss and Brendan Fehr. Carano’s character will concern a woman coming home from a tour in the Middle East. The woman’s 13-year-old son in then captured and held for ransom, leaving Carano’s lead role to resolve the crisis.
The film will be directed by David Hackl and written by Nika Agiashvili.
