The UFC is embattled with lawsuits and union attempts as of late, and the world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion doesn’t back down to any of them.
Instead, the UFC is in court on multiple fronts over some of their policies and as such, court documents continue to make themselves public.
In the latest released document, Michael Mersh, an attorney who is a UFC executive explained an email to a Mark Hunt representative, basically saying Mark could be locked into his UFC contract indefinitely.
It’s an interesting look at the UFC’s approach to retaining their talent.
Here’s the tweet, with an image of the court document, explaining the testimony from the UFC executive on how they extend their fighter’s contracts, to hold onto their talent.

Possible #UFC case hot doc. Purported Mike Mersch e-mail to a Mark Hunt rep actually saying "so he will never see the end of his contract." Expert contract analysis matters most & Joe Silva denies that's how he'd put it (below), but man that was a dumb thing to allegedly write. pic.twitter.com/PpRjM3MqgI
