5-0 as a professional fighter, UFC newcomer is about as hot of a prospect as the UFC has acquired in several years.
Fight fans around the world are anxiously awaiting her debut inside the UFC’s Octagon, and today she hit the scales for the very first time.
In what was a dramatic first stint at a UFC weigh-in, Dern was the last fighter to enter the room to make weight, and she was last by nearly an hour.
With the media in attendance, and fight fans watching around the world, Dern’s past reputation of missing weight repeatedly, was on the minds of everyone.
Before she came out, UFC officials got the towel and ring of shame out and placed by the scales, as Dern was expected to have to disrobe on her first attempt.
However, when she jumped on the scales she did make weight, and ended the drama.
