Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar suffered a brutal defeat over the weekend, as the former title holder faced the first knockout loss of his career. Now fighters are coming forward with their thoughts on the stunning moment over social media.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Las Vegas, Nev. over the weekend to host the latest highly anticipated fight card for the organization. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion hosted UFC 222 inside the T-Mobile Arena for the Las Vegas crowd.
Co-headlining the night’s event, Frankie “The Answer” Edgar went toe-to-toe with Brian Ortega. Edgar had never been finished in his UFC career leading into UFC 222.
However, Ortega managed to sink in a knockout victory over the former champion within the first round. Now fighters are taking to social media to share their thoughts on the fight.

This fight will be the best on he card (at least to me in theory). I'm going to say Edgar by decision but there will be some dicey moments for him. #ufc222
