With Brian Ortega and Max Holloway now set on a collision course destined for the octagon, here is a look at the two mixed martial arts warriors showing off their punching power. As it turns out, the rising title challenger may be packing more of a punch.
UFC featherweight Brian Ortega shocked the world when he become the first fighter to ever knock out former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar back at UFC 222. Now the stunning first round finish has earned the undefeated fighter a shot at the reigning champion.
UFC President Dana White has come forward to reveal that Brian Ortega has earned a title shot against UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. While the two fighters have yet to be put on an official card, fans are still fervently waiting for Holloway and Ortega to meet inside the octagon.
Each appearing on UFC Tonight with the UFC on FOX crew, Holloway and Ortega separately gave it their all when striking the punching machine. Holloway racked up an impressive 925 on the machine, but Ortega ultimately beat out the reigning champion with a total score of 942.
