Without ever losing a fight, both Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson ended their weekend title-less, following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC 223 victory over Al Iaquinta.
With Conor McGregor holding the UFC’s undisputed belt, and Ferguson owning the UFC’s interim world title, Khabib was able to secure the one true belt and get both his foes stripped, by beating the #11 UFC lightweight, who took the fight on 24-hours-notice, Al Iaquinta.
It’s the first outcome of it’s kind in UFC history, and it’s also caused a shuffle in the UFC rankings.
