“Cowboy” Says He Finished Carlos Condit Twice In Saturday’s Main Event

Mixed martial arts veteran Carlos Condit suffered another tough loss over the weekend. Now Alex Oliveira has come forward to reveal that he believes he may have finished him twice within the same fight.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted the highly anticipated fight card of UFC on FOX 29 on Saturday, April 14. The event took place inside the Gila River Arena, offering fight fans a series of intense match ups.

In the co-headliner for the night, Carlos Condit and Alex Oliveira battled it out for division supremacy. In the end, Oliveira earned a second round submission victory over the fighter.

However, Oliveira believes his opponent was out for the count long before the fight was called off. Speaking in a post-fight media scrum, Oliveira offered his thoughts on the matter.

“Yeah, he went to sleep, and I changed grips on him, and he woke up, and I had to finish it, so I went and tightened it again. And then he tapped.”

“Yeah, if I stopped and the judges didn’t give me the victory, I had to put on the pressure.”
