Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been hinting to possibly pulling himself out of retirement in order to make a run inside the octagon. Now UFC President Dana White has come forward to claim that he is confident “Money” Mayweather will find his way onto the UFC roster.
Mayweather first snared the attention of MMA fans when he earned a TKO victory over UFC superstar Conor McGregor inside the squared circle back in 2017. While Mayweather quickly slipped back into retirement, the pugilist has since been showing an interest in MMA.
UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has even revealed that he is set to begin training Mayweather in mixed martial arts. As seen within the video above, Dana White has revealed that he believes Mayweather will make it into the octagon.
“There is a reason he is even talking about it, because the money is right. It’s going to happen. I’m very confident.”
