UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis has come forward with a response to the announcement of his fight against rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou. Now the fighter is getting some serious attention for his quickly growing viral remark.
Francis Ngannou is coming off of a lost shot at the UFC heavyweight title. The fighter faced off against reigning champion Stipe Miocic back at UFC 220, ultimately suffering a lopsided unanimous decision defeat to the title holder.
Ngannou would go on to receive heavy criticism for his seeming difficulty with cardio during the fight. The knockout artist grew increasingly more tired during the five round, 25 minute mixed martial arts battle, leading to the remarks from fight fans.
UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis would go on to tease Ngannou for his alleged cardio issues by posting a video of himself with a treadmill. Well, Lewis and Ngannou have since been announced for UFC 226.
The two heavyweights will throw down on July 7, as the highly anticipated fight card will take place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. UFC 226 will be featured live on pay-per-view.
Taking to Instagram, Lewis has decided to poke fun at Ngannou’s cardio yet again. Check it out below:
