UFC interim lightweight champion has been getting some heat as of late for pulling out of his upcoming title fight. Following a comment from UFC superstar Nate Diaz, “El Cucuy” has fired back with a message of his own.
Tony Ferguson was finally set to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov. The two fighters were locked in to compete for the undisputed lightweight title in the main event of UFC 223.
However, Ferguson tripped over a cable at a recent media event and tore his LCL. The fight has since been cancelled.
This makes for the fourth time a fight between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov has been scheduled and then cancelled. Nurmagomedov is now set to fight Max Holloway in the night’s main event, as Ferguson heals up from his accident.
Taking to Twitter, Nate Diaz would go on to criticize the fighters for their numerous fight cancellations.
“Lol these guys can’t even make it to war..”
