Former UFC heavyweight champions Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar have formed quite the rivalry over the years. Whole Mir has moved on to fight under the Bellator MMA banner, the mixed martial artist is not ruling out a possible trilogy rematch against the WWE superstar.
Lesnar and Mir have gone toe-to-toe twice now. Mir defeated the fighter in their first match up, earning a first round submission over the fighter. However, Lesnar retaliated with a second round TKO victory in their rematch.
Speaking to MMA Weekly, Mir discussed the the possibility of facing Lesnar once again.
“We’ll see. I still don’t count it out. Brock likes money and I don’t think there’s anybody he could get more pay-per-view buys on than facing me. I feel that fight will still work itself out because of what the financial ramifications are, it just makes sense.”
“Absolutely [it can happen]. I would like to make sure it occurs. Just be patient. I mean who would have thought I would eventually be able to face Fedor.”
