Here’s Joanna Explaining That She Doesn’t Accept The Judges Scores, Thinks She Beat “Thug” Rose

Former women’s UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk had another shot at earning back her belt in the co-main event of UFC 223 over the weekend. Having suffered the second loss of her career, the fighter has now come forward with a statement.

Rose Namajunas shocked the world when she earned a first round TKO victory over formerly undefeated champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk back at UFC 217. Just like that, the formerly dominant 14-0 title holder had been finished within a single round.

Jedrzejczyk and Namajunas were quickly locked in for an immediate rematch at UFC 223. This time, the fight went the distance. In the end, Namajunas earned her second victory over the fighter. “Thug” Rose walked away with a unanimous decision to retain her title.

Speaking at the UFC 223 Post-Fight Press Conference, Joanna Jedrzejczyk revealed that she does not agree with the judges’ decision.

“When I heard how the judges scored the card, I expected that I was going to win by split decision. But when I heard the difference, I was like ‘Okay, we’ve got the win, easy.’ It was very big surprise and the numbers don’t lie.

“142 to 84 and landed 132 strikes from me, 83 from Rose. That’s the answer.”
