Khabib Wins UFC World Title, Calls Out GSP For Fight At Madison Square Garden

Newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has decided to call out former two division champion Georges St-Pierre.

Khabib Nurmagomedov headlined the stunning UFC 223 fight card in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday night, April 7. The fighter faced off against Al Iaquinta for the undisputed UFC lightweight title.

In the end, Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance over his opponent and locked in a title earning unanimous decision victory over Iaquinta. Speaking in his post-fight interview, Nurmagomedov decided to call out Georges St-Pierre.

“Even Georges St-Pierre once said ‘Even when you are a black belt, you have to stay in your mind white belt.’ But now, I want to fight this Georges St-Pierre in New York’s Madison Square Garden.”
