Nick Diaz Talks BJJ Competitors: ‘They’ll never be real fighters’

Nick Diaz is a mixed martial arts veteran. A former WEC and Strikeforce Welterweight champion, Diaz has done it all. Now the fighter has come forward with his thoughts on those that compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Nick Diaz has earned a massive following of dedicated fight fans through his years in the sport of MMA. As a fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Diaz has put on octagon wars that will inevitably go down in the sport’s history.

With all of that in mind, Diaz is an eclectically skilled individual. The fighter also competes in triathlons and bikes regularly. The Stockton native is a third degree BJJ black belt under Cesar Gracie, having competed as a grappling ace.

As seen in the video above, however, Nick Diaz claims that those that exclusively compete in BJJ are not fighters. Rather, they are martial artists competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

“I don’t really like the idea of competing with these guys that are not fighters.” Diaz said.

“The things is that they are not fighters and they are never going to be.” The fighter later continued.

Check out Diaz’s full thoughts on the situation within the video above.
