UFC welterweight Colby Covington and former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos are set to battle it out for the interim welterweight title. With that in mind, dos Anjos decided to try something different at their recent staredown.
Dos Anjos and Covington met face to face at the UFC 25th Anniversary Press Conference on Friday, April 6, offering fight fans a heated moment of tension between the two mixed martial artists. Referencing Covington’s physical altercation with former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum, in which Werdum hit the fighter with a boomerang, dos Anjos decided to sport a boomerang on his shirt at the recent staredown.
