UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has not been having an easy few days. Now the fighter has come forward over social media with some heated responses to UFC superstars Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.
Tony Ferguson was originally set to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 223. The two mixed martial artists were set to throw down for the undisputed lightweight title.
But, Ferguson tore his LCL just six days ahead of the fight. The interim champion has since been removed from the night’s main event.
Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have now been scheduled to fight and ultimately cancelled a staggering total of four times. Taking to Twitter, Nate Diaz offered a critical statement on the matter.
“Lol these guys can’t even make it to war..”

Tony Ferguson has since fired back with a few words of his own.
“Stay In Your Lane Nathan, Last Time I Checked You Ducked The Whole Roster. Can’t Fight In A War If You Never Sign Up For Battle.”

Conor McGregor made a statement of his own at the fighters expense.
“These fools pull out more times than I do with my d*ck.”

Now Tony Ferguson has retaliated with another heated message.

Khabib Nurmagomedov will now face UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 223. Ferguson will be stripped of his interim title and McGregor of his undisputed belt at the beginning of the fight, so that Holloway and Nurmagomedov can battle it out for the undisputed title.
