Women’s UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas put on a victorious performance inside the octagon over the weekend. Now women’s mixed martial arts trailblazer Gina Carano has come forward with her reaction to the event.
Namajunas put an end to Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s undefeated 14-0 streak back at UFC 217. Earning a TKO victory within the first round, Namajunas claimed the strawweight title for herself.
Jedrzejczyk and Namajunas were then scheduled for an immediate rematch. The two mixed martial artists went toe-to-toe in a battle for division dominance within the co-main event of UFC 223 over the weekend.
This time, the two fighters went the distance. Still, in the end, Namajunas earned a unanimous decision victory over her opponent. Taking to the internet, Gina Carano offered a video of her live reaction to the accomplishment.
