UFC Training Partner Says Fans Will Be “Surprised” By CM Punk’s Upcoming UFC 225 Performance

Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, is set to make his big octagon return after suffering a devastating loss to Mickey Gall that sent the fighter to the proverbial drawing boards for two years. With that in mind, teammate Belal Muhammad has come forward to claim that fight fans may be pleasantly surprised by Punk’s improvements.

Punk is currently set to face off against Mike Jackson, another fighter to suffer an octagon debut defeat to Mickey Gall. The two fighters will face off on the live pay-per-view main card of UFC 225.

The event will take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois on June 9. Speaking to Sherdog.com, Roufusport team member belal Muhammad offered his thoughts on teammate CM Punk’s improvements inside the gym.

“He’s working really hard. He’s improved a lot. I think people are gonna be really surprised about the show he’s gonna put on. Not a lot of people are giving him respect after his first fight. But as you can see, Mickey Gall wasn’t no joke. He went out there and he beat Sage Northcutt pretty easily.”
