Details Emerge in Diaz Arrest, And It Took 12 Units To Bring Him Down

UFC superstar Nick Diaz is fresh off of a year-long suspension enforced by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Now Diaz is facing charges for alleged domestic abuse.

Following an anti-doping policy violation, the mixed martial arts veteran was released from his suspension on April 19, 2018. However, Nickolas R. Diaz of Stockton, Calif. has since been listed on an online in-custody search, as seen below.

The 34-year-old was arrested by Las Vegas police on May 25 on a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Diaz is currently being held within the Clark County Detention Center and will not be permitted the opportunity to make his bail of $18,000 until after his court hearing on May 26, 2018.

An undisclosed source within the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has since come forward to MMA Junkie to offer some details concerning the incident. As reported by MMA Junkie, the alleged victim is female and was transported to a local hospital after the incident.

Diaz was reportedly combative with police officers during the arrest, with 12 unites having been dispatched to the scene.
