After Surviving Testicular Cancer, Rivas Gets Low Blowed and Loses | UFC Results

Santiago, Chile is hosting a stunning night of fights over the weekend. This time around, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making its big premiere inside the Movistar Arena with the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 129.

Fighting on the night’s live FS1 main card, Chile native Diego Rivas and fellow bantamweight Guido Cannetti are facing off for division supremacy. Check out the UFC results from the match up down below.

Cannetti and Rivas entered a brutal exchange early in the fight. Cannetti managed to get the back of his opponent, but failed to get a finish before the end of the round.

Early in the second round, Rivas suffered a brutal low blow. The testicular cancer survivor did not take his full five minutes, electing rather to continue fighting after a momentary break.

Cannetti managed to take his opponent to the canvas, quickly escaping a guillotine attempt from Rivas. This was ultimately a slower paced five minutes between the two fighters.

The mixed martial artists hugged in the opening moments of the final round, before entering another brutal exchange. Taking his opponent to the mat, Cannetti sank in a tight guillotine attempt on Rivas. However, Rivas was able to escape the position.

Neither fighter was able to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
