Former UFC interim lightweight title challenger Kevin Lee has decided to set his sights on UFC superstar Nate Diaz. Now the fighter has come forward with a critical statement on the Stockton native.
Diaz has not competed inside the octagon since his two fight rivalry with Conor McGregor back in 2016. However it has been reported that Nate Diaz and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) are in discussion over a possible octagon return at UFC 227 in Aug.
Catching wind of the news, Kevin Lee has decided to make sure that UFC President Dana White and longtime match maker Sean Shelby are aware that he wants to take on the UFC megastar.
“@danawhite @seanshelby if y’all really want @NateDiaz209 to fight you know who to come to”

Speaking on Sirius XM’s MMA Tonight, Lee has also come forward to claim that Nate Diaz has “run away” from him once before.
“I’m turning my focus to Nate. I think that Nate fight is out there to be had. He’s already run away from me once. Now they’ve got Aug. 4 coming up that he’s looking to get on.”
