Mixed martial arts veteran Nick Diaz is currently facing charges for domestic battery following the fighter’s arrest on Thursday night. Now it would appear that the New York Post attempted to report on the matter, but made a massive error in the process.
Nick Diaz was taken to the Clark County Detention Center after allegedly attacking a woman. The fighter is being charged with a felony case of domestic battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.
The alleged victim was transported to a local hospital after the incident. Diaz was reportedly combative with police, as 12 units were dispatched to the scene.
After attending his 9:00 am court hearing on Saturday, May 26, Diaz made his $18,000 bail and was released from the detention center. Matt Staudt, a friend of Nick Diaz, took to Instagram to claim that Diaz was being set up by a woman that has allegedly been stalking the fighter for years.
The New York Post attempted to report on the matter, but erroneously stated that the fighter’s younger brother Nate Diaz was the individual involved in the concerning incident.
