It would appear that former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko may soon not be the only member of her family competing under the banner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). While the fighter’s older sister has yet to land a contract with the mixed martial arts promotion, Antonina Shevchenko is now set to compete on the highly acclaimed contender series.
Antonina Shevchenko has a rich history within the sport of Muay Thai, much like her younger sister. Beyond that, Antonina Shevchenko has put on an undefeated run within the sport of mixed martial arts.
Now with a professional record of 5-0, Antonina Shevchenko is set to compete on the Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series. The fighter will face off against Silvana Gomez Juarez.
The two mixed martial artists will throw down June 26 inside the UFC Training Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
