UFC flyweight Joseph Benavidez is gearing up for his big return to the world of mixed martial arts. Having not competed inside the octagon since his split decision victory over Henry Cejudo back in 2016, the fighter is now set to make his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Benavidez is on a role in his fighting career, having garnered a six fight winning streak inside the octagon. Now 25-4, Benavidez is set to face off against Sergio Pettis on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225.
The live pay-per-view will take place June 9 inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Headlining the night’s card, UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will face off against Yoel Romero for an intense title fight rematch.
Meanwhile, Benavidez is looking in optimum fighting form. In a recent social media post offered by another UFC competitor, Benavidez can be seen looking ripped ahead of his big match up.
