UFC superstar Conor McGregor was ruled as the No. 4 highest paid leatherette of 2017, according to Forbes. Now “Notorious” has come forward with a few words on the matter.
The year of 2017 was a lucrative one for the Ireland native. McGregor made his boxing debut against pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., ultimately suffering a TKO loss to the undefeated boxer.
However, McGregor still pulled an estimated career high total of $100 million from the event. Consequently, Conor McGregor managed to lock in the No. 4 spot on Forbes’ list of the highest paid athletes.
Taking to Instagram, “Notorious” has since decided to offer a few words on the matter. Check it out below:
“Made it to number 4 on the Forbes list this year. If I had of fought on the agreed May 12th bout in Rio De Janeiro, I would have surpassed Ronaldo and Messi to take 2nd place. Something came up however… Ah well, still under 30.”
