The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted another incredible night of fights over the weekend. Now UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts Mike Jackson’s performance inside the octagon.
The highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225 took place from within the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, June 9. Featured on the night’s card, former WWE star CM Punk made his octagon return against Mike Jackson.
Jackson put on a dominant performance over his opponent, ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory. Some fight fans have since come to criticize Jackson for his performance, claiming the fighter could have finished CM Punk early in the bout.
Speaking to media after the event, UFC President Dana White revealed his thoughts on Jackson’s performance. “Mike Jackson did not impress me.” White said.
Later speaking to UFC correspondent Megan Olivi, White added a few more words on Mike Jackson’s octagon performance.
“It was pretty aggravating.” White said. “Showboating in there when your 0-1 and getting an opportunity like that to beat CM Punk. I didn’t love that.”
