UFC superstar Conor McGregor had his court hearing on Thursday, June 14. The fighter’s team revealed that they plan to pursue a plea deal, leading to the court being dismissed and a new court date being set for July 26. Now a new detail concerning the upcoming plea deal has been revealed.
Conor McGregor allegedly attacked a bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223 on April 5. The fracas left multiple injured, thousands of dollars in damages to the bus and “Notorious” facing assault and criminal mischief charges.
The target of the incident was reportedly Khabib Nurmagomedov, who had an altercation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier.
As reported by the Irish Mirror, Conor McGregor is now in negotiations with the New York’s Police Athletic League in an attempt to aid in his plea deal to avoid seeing jail time.
The league “provides sporting activities and more to kids from disadvantaged backgrounds.”
