In today’s rare morning UFC main event, Donald Cerrone returned to action against rising UFC welterweight Leon Edwards.
In round 1, Edwards delivered on his promise to make it a hard night for the veteran in Cerrone.
“Cowboy” got hit often and early, getting bloodied up in the first round, but still stayed in the fight.
In round 2, Cowboy found himself back in the fight, after having a rough go early on.
Cowboy Finally got a round, potentially in rounds 3 and 4, securing two takedowns in round 4, likely making this fight even going into the 5th round.
In round 5 the two went back and forth, but with 90 second left Cerrone secured a much needed takedown. Edwards got up 30 seconds later, prompting Cerrone to walk to the center, point his finger to the mat and throw down until the final bell.
