Greg Hardy Delivers On Hype, Gets Quick KO Win, Earns Likely UFC Shot

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is on its home turf of Las Vegas, Nev. tonight to host another interesting night of fights. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is kicking off the second season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.

Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is a UFC Fight Pass featured show dedicated to rooting out the toughest and most talented prospects within the sport of mixed martial arts. Those lucky enough to compete on the program earn a shot at impressing the UFC President enough to gain a spot on the roster of the UFC.

The show airs on UFC Fight Pass every Tuesday, with the first episode of the season having aired on June 12. Featured in tonight’s season opening episode, former NFL player Greg Hardy put his 3-0 undefeated streak on the line from within the Las Vegas TUF Gym.

Hardy has garnered some controversy over the years, as the fighter was once charged with domestic violence. The fighter was acquitted from the charges, but was quickly removed from the NFL roster all the same.

Tonight, Hardy went toe-to-toe with fellow former NFL player Austen Lane. Within the first minute of the fight, Hardy managed to put his opponent away for a knockout victory.
