Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida recently reached the end of his contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). After negotiations, “The Dragon” elected to sign with competing promotion Bellator MMA. Now it would appear that one of Machida’s former opponent’s has come forward with a critical statement over the fighter.
Gegard Mousasi is now the reigning Bellator middleweight champion. However, Mousasi was also once a top contender within the UFC. During his tenure with the promotion, Mousasi and Machida went toe-to-toe inside the octagon.
In the end, Machida earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. Speaking to MMA Fighting, Gegard Mousasi accused his former opponent of using performance enhancing drugs.
When asked if he believes Machida was using PED’s for their fight, Mousasi said “100 percent.” Check it out within the video below:
