Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is set to compete for the interim welterweight title. With that in mind, the fighter is also eyeing a fight against former multi-division champion Conor McGregor.
Dos Anjos is set to take on Colby Covington at UFC 225 for the interim welterweight belt. The live pay-per-view will take place June 9.
Speaking at the recent UFC 225 Media Day, Rafael dos Anjos revealed that he would still like to fight Conor McGregor. The two mixed martial artists were once slated to face off inside the octagon.
With the fight having never come to fruition, it would appear that dos Anjos is ready to settle unfinished business.
“I think that fight could happen down the road.” Dos Anjos said. “Once I get my second belt, I think he should try his third belt, maybe.”
