UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker threw down with Yoel Romero in a tough rematch back at UFC 225. Following the fight, Whittaker has come forward with a few words on how he believes fighters may be taking advantage of USADA to improve their performance inside the octagon.
Whittaker and Romero went toe-to-toe in the main event of UFC 225 on June 9. From within the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, live on pay-per-view, the two mixed martial artist threw down for a highly anticipated rematch.
While Whittaker earned a unanimous decision victory in their first fight, the reigning champion managed to lock down a split decision win in their recent rematch. After the fight, Whittaker went on to question Romero’s “supplements,” seemingly insinuating that Romero may have used performance enhancing drugs.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Romero broke down the different ways he believes a top level UFC fighter could circumvent the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in order to use PEDs. Check it out within the video provided above.
