Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is currently gearing up to face off against tough welterweight contender Colby Covington for the interim welterweight title. Now footage of the former champion putting in some intense training ahead of the match up has made its way to the internet.
The latest edition of UFC 225 Embedded has been released, featuring footage of dos Anjos hitting the pads with boxing coach Jason Parillo. During the exchange, the former champion managed to knock a pad completely off of Parillo’s hand.
Parillo quickly retorted, “That’s the goal. You knock the head off, he can’t talk no more.” Check it out within the video below:
Dos Anjos and Covington will throw down in the co-headliner of UFC 225. The live pay-per-view will take place June 9 inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
