UFC welterweight Colby Covington has drawn some serious attention from fight fans for his often polarizing statements. Following the fighter’s recent octagon performance, reigning UFC welterweight title holder Tyron Woodley has come forward with a statement of his own.
Colby Covington faced off against former UFC lightweight chamion Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event of UFC 225 over the weekend. The highly anticipated fight card took place this Saturday, June 9, from inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Covington ultimately earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent after putting on an impressive performance. The fighter would go on to call out teammate and reigning champion Tyron Woodley shortly after.
Taking to Twitter, Woodley has decided to offer his thoughts on the matter.
