The highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225 took place on Saturday, June 9. Following reports that the event only sold 150,000 pay-per-views, a UFC official has come forward to refute the statement.
UFC 225 took place inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and featured a series of exciting match ups. Fighters from UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker to Colby Covington to CM Punk made their way onto the night’s main card.
The LA Times would go on to report that the PPV only sold 150,000. However, UFC attorney Hunter Cambell has since informed the news source that
the total was a “material misrepresentation” correct total of buys and was incorrect by a matter of “something in excess of six figures.”
