The referee at the recent Imortal FC 9 had a difficult day on the job, as two fighters were seemingly determined to keep their brawl going. Now footage of the incident has made its way to the internet.
Imortal FC 9 went down in Maranhao, Brazil on Saturday, June 2. Featured on the night’s card, flyweights Joao Elias and Walter Martins went toe-to-toe in a battle for division supremacy.
At one point during the fight, the referee elected to momentarily halt the contest in order to call the cage side doctor over to check a cut on the face of Elias. However, the fight never stopped.
Rather, the two competitors began swinging at each other the moment the referee turned his back to motion to the doctor. Check out the brawl that ensued within the video provided above.
