Mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA is currently delivering a stunning tournament grand prix to determine the champion of the promotion’s heavyweight division. That being said, Bellator MMA is now looking to host a tourney for the promotion’s welterweight class.
A total nine of the ten total competitors for the welterweight grand prix have already been revealed. Fighters Yaroslav Amosov,
Jon Fitch, Neiman Gracie, Andrey Koreshkov, Lorenz Larkin, Douglas Lima, Rory MacDonald, Michael Page and Ed Ruth have all been locked in for the competition.
Now the promotion has officially announced the first fight for the exciting tourney. Former Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima will take on Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator 205 on Sept. 29 from within the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
