JDS Returns From 12 Suspension To Win Main Event In Boise

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos is now stepping inside the octagon for his massive octagon return. Now fight fans can check out the UFC results from the exciting match up.

Boise, Idaho is hosting UFC Fight Night 133 inside the CenturyLink Arena for fight fans worldwide this Saturday, July 14. Headlining the night’s event, Junior dos Santos will be taking on UFC newcomer Blagoy Ivanov.

Ivanov made his fame in the combat sports world for defeated MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko in a Sambo world champion match. Now the fighter will be putting his skills to the test inside the octagon.

The first round went down at a methodical pace. Neither fighter appeared interested in entering an all out war in the center of the octagon.

Rather dos Santos and Ivanov spent much of the first round feeling out each other’s range and power. This will be a tough round for the judges.

The second round carried much of the same themes as the first. Each fighter took their time measuring their jabs and avoiding lengthy exchanges.

Still, dos Santos was seemingly getting the better of his opponent with a higher frequency of strikes. It was seemingly as strong round for dos Santos.

Dos Santos continued to push the pace in the third round, as the fighter was staying a little more busy than his opponent. That being said, Ivanov cracked the former champion with a few hard shots that put dos Santos on his back foot.

The fourth round was a dominant one for the former champion. Ivanov began to appear gassed from the intense match up, as dos Santos continued to keep up a swift pace of striking. Still, this main event will see a fifth round.

Junior dos Santos cracked Ivanov with a brutal right hand early in the final round, but Ivanov retaliated with a swift combination. Dos Santos continued to use his footwork to evade Ivanov and pepper the fighter with jabs from the outside.

With neither fighter able to get a finish, this one has gone the distance.
