With former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor having successfully made a plea deal concerning the fracas that took place on April 5, “Notorious” and reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov are seemingly on a collision course destined for the octagon. With that in mind, “The Eagle” has come forward with a word on the possible match up.
Speaking to media, as seen within video provided below, Nurmagomedov revealed that he does not plan on standing up and striking with the Ireland native famous for his powerful left hand. Rather, “The Eagle” will be applying his talented wrestling.
“I want a big drama show. A little bit (of) talk(ing) with him, tell him, ‘I know how we have to do this.’ I have a little bit of a plan. Make him tired, make him look bad. Strong, he’s very dangerous. Everybody knows this. I know this, too. If you think I’m going to stay with him like I stayed with (Al) Iaquinta with my Muhammad Ali jab? No way, brother. No way. I’m going to try to take him down. Even if he defend my takedown, he’s going to be tired.”
