Fight fans are tuning in to UFC Fight Pass tonight for the latest edition of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. With the event now beginning, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results.
Kicking of week six of the show’s second season, featherweights Chase Hooper and Canaan Kawaihae are going toe-to-toe in hopes of earning UFC contracts. The UFC results can be seen below.
The fight fired of at a blistering pace. Kawaihae appeared to have an advantage over his opponent on the feet, as the fighter managed to drop Hooper multiple times. Hooper managed to survive the round, but it was ultimately a dominant five minutes for Kawaihae.
Hooper fired off in the second round with a vengeance. The fighter pressured forward on his opponent, with the fight between the two Brazilian Jiu Jitsu phenoms quickly making its way to the canvas.
Hooper managed to get the mount position over his opponent, pummeling the fighter with vicious ground and pound. Taking the fighter’s back, Hooper managed to sink in a rear-naked choke attempt. While Hooper didn’t get a finish, the fighter earned a dominant round.
Hooper locked in an armbar early in the final round, after having dominantly taken his opponent to the canvas. Transitioning to his opponent’s back, Hooper began raining down some brutal ground and pound. In the end, this one has gone the distance.
