Las Vegas, Nev. is hosting week five of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series tonight for fight fans worldwide. Now it’s time to look at the UFC results from the exciting fight night.
UFC women’s flyweight Paige VanZant’s fiance Austin Vanderford is going toe-to-toe with Team Alpha Male’s Angelo Trevino on the night’s card, as both mixed martial artists are each looking to earn a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Trevino fired out of the gate with a furry, jabbing Vanderford in the face with some powerful shots. Taking the fighter to the canvas early in the round, Trevino was able to take his opponent’s back.
However, Vanderford was able to get back to his feet. Trevino dropped his opponent with a powerful right hand, dishing out some damaging ground and pound until the sound of the bell. This was seemingly a dominant round for Trevino.
Vanderford stunned his opponent in the second round, taking him to the canvas. Sinking in a rear-naked choke, Austin Vanderford managed to bring a stop to the contest.
