Russian National Soccer Team Gifts Khabib Jersey, Tells Him To Beat Conor

With their quarter-final throw down against Croatia just around the corner, the national Russian soccer team has come forward with a gift and a message for UFC lightweight champion and Dagestan native Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now “The Eagle” has come forward with a response.

Taking to Twitter, Artem Dzyuba, the elite striker of Russia’s national team, offered Nurmagomedov a singed jersey. The player stated:

“Dear Khabib, we wish you the best of luck in the upcoming fight with the Irishman Conor McGregor. This will be the most important fight in your career. This is a gift from our entire team. I know that you love football, so here’s a T-shirt with the first number, because you are Number 1. Good luck in the UFC.”

Later taking to Instagram, Nurmagomedov offered the following response:

“Thank you very much for your support and wishes, thank you very much, I also send my greetings to the boys, I wish you good luck in the quarterfinals of the World Cup.”
