UFC megastar Conor McGregor successfully landed a plea deal on Thursday, avoiding any jail time. With that in mind, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
Conor McGregor was in court on Thursday to answer for criminal charges concerning an attack on a UFC bus in Brooklyn, New York from April 5. After pleading guilty to once count of disorderly conduct, McGregor’s felony charges were ultimately dropped.
The Ireland native will see no jail time, will gave no criminal record and will not have any complications to his visa due to the attack. Rather, “Notorious” will have to participate in community service, take an anger management evaluation and pay restitution for damages to the UFC bus.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has decided to offer his thoughts on the matter.
“At some point, we have to go back to the f**kin sport.” Woodley said. “It’s called mixed martial arts. It’s a sport. It’s starting to get out of control.”
